1. Avoid impulse buys at the market
2. Beware of bulk buying that becomes bulk wasting. 
3. Don&#039;t throw something away simply because it&#039;s past its &quot;use-by&quot; or &quot;best before&quot; date. Those are both cautious estimates and you can often tell with a sniff if it&#039;s still OK. 
4. Save leftovers and have a weekly leftover dinner.</description>
